Research activities aim at conservation of large marine vertebrates and correct management and reproduction of marine fauna in controlled environment.


The department develops dissemination activities on marine research activities carried out at the SZN. The department staff is strongly involved in communication and public engagement activities through the exhibition of the living creatures and the enhancement of historical and cultural heritage of the SZN, in the facilities accessible to the general public.

  • Turtle Point & Large Marine Vertebrate Research Center
