Research Interests
Even today the main source of marine pollution comes from oil. Precisely for this reason, hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria that are part of the marine microbial community capable of degrading hydrocarbons play a very important role. By exploiting molecular methods, classical microbiology and chemical analyses, I mainly deal with implementing experimental methods for bioremediation. My work takes place mainly in the laboratory and in the field, participating in various sampling activities.
