The Stazione Zoologica constituted an European Projects Committee comprised by:

The Committee has the purpose to enhance and support common strategies of the Institute's projects, through the coordination and circulation of information to the internal scientific community.

The Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn participates in a series of international and national projects. 

Furthermore, the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn leads a new European Infrastructure on marine biology: The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) has selected a project coordinated by the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, leading to the creation of the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC), a large-scale research infrastructure for marine biology in Europe. The EMBRC will enable scientists to use the most up-to-date techniques to study the composition, functioning and diversity of marine organisms, providing important benefits for life sciences and biomedicine and bringing new insights to the way  organisms evolve and adapt to a changing environment.

The Stazione Zoologica is also involved in ASSEMBLE. ASSEMBLE is a FP7 infrastructure programme with a focus on enhancing transnational access to key infrastructures for experimental marine science, with a particular focus on the provision of marine model organisms. 
On-site and remote access is available - please see each ASSEMBLE infrastructure for information on the different installations offered (such as laboratory time, ship time, marine organisms available, samples etc).
Access is free of charge and will be provided to eligible user selected by calls for application launched twice a year.
