Raffaella Casotti

Research interests:Marine plankton ecophysiology, microbial food webs, allelopathy. Current research topics include 1) the ecological role of polyunsaturated aldehydes in interactions within phytoplankton and between marine phytoplankton and bacteria 2) diatom bloom dynamics as related to infochemical production 3) picoplankton ecology as related to photophysiology and to allelochemistry.
