Interessi di ricerca: Il mio interesse è incentrato sull'ecologia delle microalghe marine, e in particolare sui meccanismi alla base della variabilità della distribuzione di singole specie e di associazioni a diverse scale spaziali e temporali. Nelle mie ricerche, studi tassonomici ad alta risoluzione e indagini molecolari sono funzionali alla comprensione dell’evoluzione della diversità microbica in relazione alla variabilità ambientale
